Join People Driven Technology’s 2025 Summer Internship Cohort as the Accounting & Finance Intern. This in-office opportunity provides hands-on experience supporting day-to-day financial operations, working closely with our Accounting and Finance team. Interns gain practical exposure to monthly close processes, reporting, and broader business operations at our Byron Center, MI headquarters.
What You Would Do
- Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks such as data entry, invoice processing, and expense tracking.
- Prepare month-end bank account reconciliations and other balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Audit customer sales tax exemption certificates for accuracy and compliance.
- Audit andvalidatelong-term contract accruals to ensure proper financial reporting.
- Research and analyze fleet management software options, including full cost-benefit analysis.
- Streamline and update monthly and quarterly board, KPI, and management reports for greater efficiency and clarity.
- Support the accounting team during physical inventory counts and help track non-stock inventory items.
- Help maintain accurate financial records in NetSuite and assist with internal audit documentation.
- Compile and analyze data in Excel to support reporting and decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with team members across departments on ad hoc financial projects and process improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data with discretion.
- Other duties or projects as assigned.
What We Are Looking For
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data sorting/filtering).
- Exposure to or willingness to learn NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability to work in-office at PDT’s headquarters in Byron Center, MI throughout the summer.
