Personal Care Assistant

Lor-ips HealthCare Solutions is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts, supporting a young adult man who has survived a spinal cord injury through the Massachusetts Personal Care Attendant (PCA) program. This private employment opportunity empowers individuals with disabilities to live independently in the community.

What the Position Entails As a PCA you will provide essential personal care assistance at home, work, school, and in the community, fostering independence while building a supportive professional relationship.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, including eating, showering, dressing, toileting, grooming, meal preparation, and medication administration (pills only).
• Support mobility, transfers, powered wheelchair use, and physical rehabilitation/exercises.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and organization tasks.
• Offer companionship and support throughout the process of physical recovery.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, therapists) and document changes in condition.

Qualifications No prior experience or certification is required—we provide comprehensive, paid training. Ideal candidates demonstrate:

• The ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong communication skills and rapport-building abilities.
• A compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.

Compensation and Schedule

• Starting wages: $21 - $23.25 per hour depending on shift. 
• Flexible options: Full-time, part-time, or per diem, tailored to your availability.
