The Summer FIGternship

Welcome to Falvey Insurance Group's summer internship program! 

Our 9-week program is scheduled to start June 1, 2026, and end on July 31, 2026.  Our interns are an integral part of our teams working alongside marine insurance and technical professionals. You will gain the following over the course of your internship:

  • Valuable insight into the insurance industry
  • Be exposed to multiple lines of business
  • Education from Senior Management 
  • Insight into the marine insurance industry through project-based work
  • Potential future employment with Falvey Insurance Group.

Interns will focus on projects within various departments including Accounting/Finance, Business Analytics, Claims, Marketing, Risk Intelligence Analytics, Risk Management, Software Engineering, Specialty Brokerage, Technical Project Management, Technical Quality Assurance. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This position requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including the ability to multi-task, problem-solve as well as excellent attention to detail. 

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat is desirable, along with the ability to use standard office equipment; computers, answer and communicate on the telephone, and lift heavy boxes up to 50 lbs.

Hours of Operations and Working Conditions

This position’s work hours are Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm in our Rhode Island Headquarters, which is a business-casual office environment. By applying you are committing to locating and securing your own housing if you are outside of driving range.

Interns will be paid on an hourly basis at a rate of $17 per hour.
