Human Resources Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department in various functions essential to effective workforce management. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of human resources processes and systems. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic HR initiatives, primarily focusing on recruitment, safety and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with talent acquisition activities, including sourcing candidates through ATS platform.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, contract management, social media management for employer branding, and general office support
  • Support employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires
  • Manage employee training records for ISO standards
  • Coordinate employee evaluation processes and performance management initiatives
  • Support compliance with employment & labor law regulations, OSHA standards, and workers' compensation procedures
  • Assist in developing and implementing training & development programs
  • Prepare reports related to HR sourcing, HRIS data collection, and other HR metrics
  • Support HR projects involving project management tools

Qualifications

  • Proven experience or internship in human resources or related administrative roles
  • Familiarity with human capital management systems
  • Knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA standards, workers' compensation policies, and compliance regulations
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data collection and record keeping
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally
  • Experience with project management tools and HRIS systems is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media platforms for employer branding purposes
