SUMMER INTERNSHIP @ WICHITA RIDING ACADEMY

A great opportunity for individuals seeking to become more involved in the horse industry. Assist with prepping horses for lessons, teaching, grooming, training horses, and other programs. A world of opportunity to LEARN and become engaged in the horse business. Good work ethic, positive, friendly attitude, common sense, polite, and respectful to horses and people. Must be willing to adapt to our routine and methods. Must enjoy working with horses and people~ Approximate work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. You can select to work 5 or 6 days a week.  Will be reflected in your pay. Live right on the farm, all housing expenses paid. Looking for someone with a "teamwork" attitude who is dependable, responsible, honest/trustworthy, and self-motivated. Must also possess a strong work ethic and a genuine love for horses. No smoking, drugs, or drinking. NO pets. Duties include feeding, turnouts, riding, barn housekeeping, lunging, grooming, show grooming, clipping, daily care, and management. Helping with camps and lessons, grooming, tacking, and helping at shows. Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances. Assisting in teaching lessons and working with our trainers. Lessons for interns each week. Start and stop dates are negotiable. Opportunities for full-time employment may be available. The start date end of May.

Must have equine experience, be physically able to work in cold and hot weather, lift over 75 lbs. a Good upbeat attitude. Please submit a resume, a video of you riding, and 3 references.

Accommodation

Mobile Home with 3 bedrooms. Home is on-site. Washer and dryer, dishwasher, TV. Storm Shetler. All utilities paid, WiFi is available in the barn.
