Summer Internship Program

Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation (AILEY), one of the world’s premier dance institutions, offers internships across the organization—from production to administration—giving interns valuable work experience as they learn about AILEY’s operations in a welcoming and collaborative environment. 

The summer internship program is part of AILEY's ongoing effort to provide rewarding learning opportunities to outstanding candidates. While this is a paid opportunity, we are unable to provide housing. We do collaborate with schools so that interns can receive academic credit and are able to take dance and fitness classes at Ailey Extension at no charge.

This summer, we are offering internships in Production, Development, Marketing, Ailey Arts In Education & Community Programs, Ailey Extension, Finance, and Legal.

Eligibility

Our internship program is available to college and graduate students. International applicants are encouraged to apply, however AILEY does not sponsor visas and applicants will be required to provide proof of visa at time of resume submission. Applicants must be available to intern for a minimum of 25 hours a week. Intern placements will be in-person and/or hybrid requiring both in-office and remote work, subject to change based on departmental need.
