Country Standard Time (countrystandardtime.com) covers country, bluegrass and Americana/Roots music through features, news, CD, concert and book reviews, blogs and more.

Send music/news/feature writing samples (or URLs to your articles) along with likes/dislikes of country, bluegrass and Americana artists. We are not looking for term papers or poetry as writing samples. We want people who want to write about country, bluegrass and Americana music.

We are looking for writers for the following:

Features (generally about 1,000 words): $50

CD reviews: six reviews (typically about 300 words) within a 60-day period, $125.

Concert reviews: three within a 60-day period plus at least three full-song videos per concert (can be shot with cell for posting on YouTube by CST. Reviews are about 400-500 words $50

Book reviews: About 400 words. $35

Qualifications:
must write well and for the readers, not themselves;  know music and are not homers (meaning everything is either great or terrible)
