About ELSEHERE
ELSEHERE is an international arts nexus working across production, publishing, and cross-border partnership. We also build artist-facing programs and infrastructures where work can deepen and circulate with context and care.

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a high-output, conversion-minded marketing operator who can help ELSEHERE grow at an early stage. This is not a “branding only” role, and it is not a “social posting for vibes” role. You should enjoy building a funnel, shipping campaigns, testing language, and improving results week by week.
You do not need a formal arts background, but you must be able to represent a serious cultural brand, write with clarity, and understand how to move audiences from attention to action.
This role is ideal for someone who can combine:
- Brand clarity: sharpen positioning and voice so our programs are instantly legible
- Distribution: expand reach through partners, communities, and targeted outreach
- Conversion: increase applications, sign-ups, and paid participation
- Measurement: track performance and iterate based on data and feedback
The Mission (Early Stage)
In the next phase, ELSEHERE is scaling from strong programs into consistent public visibility and conversion. Your work will directly shape:
- how ELSEHERE is perceived (voice, clarity, credibility)
- how widely we circulate (distribution system and partner channels)
- how effectively we convert attention into outcomes (applications, newsletter, community joins, program revenue)
You will work directly with the founder to turn strategy into weekly execution.
The Role
You will help drive ELSEHERE’s growth across program marketing, community growth, and conversion. Core responsibilities include:
1) Program Marketing and Conversion
- Build campaign messaging for Open Calls, Clinics, workshops, and exchange programs
- Write and iterate conversion copy (emails, landing page copy suggestions, captions, short pitches)
- Improve conversion across the funnel: view to click, click to submit, submit to pay (where relevant)
- Develop clear CTAs and routing for each program (apply, subscribe, join, inquire)
2) Distribution and Outreach
- Build and maintain a partner distribution list (studios, universities, orgs, communities, creators)
- Run outreach for cross-posting and community amplification (email and DM)
- Coordinate campaign drops with partner timing and content assets
- Identify high leverage channels where our audience already exists
3) Brand Voice and Content System
- Help define early ELSEHERE brand language and repeatable templates
- Build a lightweight content system that can ship weekly without losing quality
- Create simple content packages for programs (key lines, captions, story scripts, short blurbs)
4) Growth Experiments and Performance Tracking
- Run weekly tests (headline variants, CTA variants, segment targeting, timing)
- Track performance in a simple dashboard (basic metrics are enough)
- Report what worked, what did not, and what we do next
What Success Looks Like (first 6 to 8 weeks)
- A repeatable campaign template that we can use for every Open Call and program
- A stable distribution system with a clear outreach cadence
- Measurable lift for one focus program (more applications or more sign-ups)
- Growth of owned channels (newsletter and community joins), not only social reach
- Clear voice consistency across email, site, and social outputs
Ideal Background
We’re especially interested in people who have done some of the following:
- Marketing, growth, community building, partnerships distribution, or creator operations
- Shipped campaigns that led to measurable outcomes (sign-ups, applications, sales, RSVPs)
- Comfortable writing clean copy fast and iterating without ego
- Strong execution habits: tracking, follow-up, deadlines, and versioning
- Bonus: experience working across US and China contexts, bilingual communication
Compensation and Support
This role is unpaid at the current stage, with performance-based upside:
- Bonus or commission tied to measurable conversion outcomes for specific programs or partnerships you help drive
- Portfolio-quality experience building an international cultural platform at an early stage
- CPT or OPT support available in the form of internship or engagement documentation (note: no H-1B sponsorship)
Growth Path
This role starts as an internship engagement. We are building ELSEHERE for the long term, and we are specifically interested in working with someone who wants to grow with the platform.
As traction and revenue become stable, the role can evolve into a longer-term position such as:
- Marketing and Growth Lead
- Brand and Community Lead
- Programs Marketing Lead
Scope and title will scale with outcomes and platform growth.
How to Apply (Handshake)
Please submit:
- Resume or LinkedIn
- A short cover letter describing one growth or marketing outcome you drove (even small), what you did, and what changed
- Your timezone and language proficiency
- Optional but strongly recommended:
- 3 improvements you would make to our current Open Call marketing to increase applications
- One draft post or email (150 to 250 words) for a program you think fits ELSEHERE
