Cyber Security/Information Assurance (CS/IA) Specialist (must be a U.S. Citizen per 32 CFR Part 117 (c 1-2))

Cyber Security/Information Assurance (CS/IA) Specialist:
JOB DESCRIPTION: The CS/IA Specialist will support: (1) security testing and certification (e.g., Risk Management Framework (RMF), DoDD 8500.1, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Requirements Guides (SRGs), etc.) developing Information Support Plans (ISPs); (2) performing system scans using automated tools (SCC, Retina, nmap, etc.); (3) performing manual analysis; and (4) preparing Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
The CS/IA Specialist must possess a good understanding of Cybersecurity concepts, practices and procedures within the Linux and Windows Operating System computing environments. In addition, he/she must be organized, have excellent record-keeping skills and have the ability to analyze technical/administrative problems, develop optional solutions, and implement the selected solution. The CS/IA Specialist must have strong oral and written skills in documenting and presenting findings and recommendations to peers as well as superiors.
Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, IA or a relevant discipline; Master’s degree preferred. Appropriate IA/CS work experience can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Candidates already possessing a valid U.S. Security Clearance are preferred; ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance is required.
Practical knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CNA, etc.) are highly desirable but not required to start.
Ability to teach technical security to non-technical personnel.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
