Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) – Job Description

Bellaire Animal Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to support advanced medical, surgical, and diagnostic care in our family-owned small animal hospital.

Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures

Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia

Assist in surgery and maintain sterile technique

Perform dental cleanings and obtain dental radiographs

Set up and assist with advanced imaging, including CT and endoscopy

Obtain diagnostic radiographs and collect laboratory samples

Place IV catheters, administer medications, and provide treatments

Assist with critical care and monitoring of hospitalized and unstable patients

Maintain accurate medical records and support patient care workflow

Qualifications:

Active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license (or eligible)

Strong technical, anesthesia, and patient monitoring skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
