Brand & Content Intern (sports tech startup)
What We Do
At our core, we're an online marketplace connecting athletes with private coaches for in-person training. Think Airbnb or Rover, but for youth sports coaching.
We work with thousands of coaches and families across the country, and our mission is rooted in helping athletes reach their potential through great coaching. Many of us, including our founders, were athletes and coaches ourselves - and we’re building the platform we wish existed growing up.
What You’ll Do
As a Brand & Content Intern, you will help grow Athletes Untapped’s presence by sharing authentic athlete perspectives and helping introduce the platform to athletes, coaches, and sports communities.
A key part of this role involves helping document and communicate the athlete and coach experience — capturing insights, stories, and real-world perspectives that help others discover the value of private coaching. It's a strong fit for student-athletes or students who naturally understand sports culture, athlete development, and how athletes communicate and share experiences today. Please note that this is a remote, unpaid, part-time internship. We are happy to work with your academic program if course credit is available!
Responsibilities:
● Lead as a brand representative, helping introduce Athletes Untapped to athletes, coaches, and sports communities
● Create and share athlete-focused content that reflects the training experience, athlete mindset, and coaching journey
● Identify and collaborate with student-athletes, coaches, and peers who align with Athletes Untapped’s mission
● Contribute to brand storytelling initiatives, including documenting athlete experiences, insights, and development journeys
● Support broader marketing, growth, and pilot initiatives as Athletes Untapped continues to expand
To succeed in this role, you will need to be excited about working at a sports tech startup, scaling a two-sided marketplace, and learning to build effective growth campaigns. You should also have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Flexibility and coachability. We’re always fine-tuning our approach and we expect you to do the same.
Expected Start Date: May 2026. The exact start date is entirely flexible to your scheduling constraints and preferences.
Expected Weekly Hours: 10-15 hours.
Expected Duration: This internship will extend through the end of Summer 2026. At that point, together we can evaluate if you would like to continue further with Athletes Untapped’s ongoing staffing needs.
We are clearly biased, but you will have the opportunity to work with a world class group of people. We offer everyone on our team:
- Fully remote work
- Learning opportunities to further your career
- The opportunity to contribute to a fun, upbeat, and fully engaged culture
