Business Development Intern

 

Business Development & Funding Research Intern

Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid Preferred)

Pay: $18 per hour

Hours: 15–20 hours per week

 

About Us
 

We are a growing creative studio business in Brooklyn operating in photography, studio rentals, and podcast production. We are expanding and seeking funding to scale operations, including studio build-out and new service offerings.

 

This internship is ideal for a business, finance, accounting, or entrepreneurship student who wants real-world experience in small business funding, lending, and business development.
 

Responsibilities

  • Research SBA microloans, CDFIs, and other small business funding sources in New York State
  • Identify lenders that align with our financial profile
  • Assist in preparing and organizing loan application materials
  • Complete and submit applications under supervision
  • Track application statuses and maintain a funding pipeline spreadsheet
  • Communicate updates and follow-up requirements
  • Assist with light administrative and financial organization tasks

Qualifications

  • Current college student (Business, Finance, Accounting, Entrepreneurship preferred)
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Comfortable handling financial documents confidentially
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Interest in small business growth and entrepreneurship

Bonus (Not Required)

  • Familiarity with SBA or CDFI loan programs
  • Experience with Excel or Google Sheets
  • Prior admin or internship experience
