Job Description: Social Media & Advocacy Intern (Summer)

Organization: A New Policy

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Position Type: Unpaid Summer Internship [roughly 5 hrs/day – 25 hours/week M-F]

Duration: [10-12 weeks, June–August]

 

About Us

A New Policy is a nonpartisan organization working to transform U.S. foreign policy toward Israel and Palestine in line with human rights, international law, accountability, and Palestinian self-determination.

A New Policy is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Intern to support the development and execution of our social media presence. In this role, you will help bring our organization to life across digital platforms through thoughtful content, strong storytelling, and community-focused engagement.

This internship is ideal for someone passionate about social media, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to our mission of a more just U.S. policy toward Israel and Palestine.Please note that this is an unpaid internship; applicants must be eligible to receive academic credit

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual identity across platforms
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align social content with broader campaigns and initiatives
  • Monitor performance and help track engagement using social media analytics tools
  • Create and schedule content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn as needed
  • Support posting of rapid response Instagram content once finalized by the rapid response team as needed

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with social media management through coursework, internships, personal projects, or professional roles
  • Strong understanding of social media best practices and platform-specific trends
  • Proficiency with Canva for creating social graphics
  • Analytical mindset with experience using (or interest in learning) social media analytics tools
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Creative, resourceful, proactive, and collaborative working style
  • Candidates with insight into regional issues in the Middle East, including the Israel–Palestineare, especially encouraged to apply
