Assistant Food Hub Manager

Spring 2026 Hillandale Farm is hiring an Assistant Food Hub/ Farm Manager
A Multi-faceted Job Opportunity, based out of Westerly, RI

Responsibilities include:

Food Hub:

  • Logistics, supply and fulfillment.
  • Inspect, pack for quality control, aggregation and delivery.

Farm:

  • Seeding, transplanting, plant care, harvesting, irrigation, trellising, record- keeping and farm data entry throughout the season.
  • Assist in basic equipment repair work, possibly including small engine repair and preventative maintenance.

Physical Demand:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in variant weather conditions/temperatures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Previous farming experience.
  • Be able to work effectively on a team.
  • Cheerful professional presence as an ambassador to our Food Hub and Farm.
  • Motivated to learn using scientific inquiry.
  • Willingness to diversify work experience through our partner farm network, shared labor program.

Hours/Benefits:

  • Pay- $19- $21/ hour, depending on experience.
  • Access to free or wholesale high-quality organic produce and grass-fed protein through our partner farm network.
  • Flexible work schedule. (Ideally 30-35 hours/week in-season, 15+ hours/week in winter)
  • Performance-based bonuses.
