Summer Intern, Capital Project Delivery
Under direct supervision, Summer Interns participate in a ten-week professional development program designed to provide hands-on, entry-level experience aligned with the student’s major field of study and the sponsoring department’s business operations. Interns gain real-world exposure to OCTA operations and the transportation industry while contributing to meaningful projects and learning from experienced professionals.
This is a temporary, full-time internship position (approximately 40 hours per week) and runs for ten weeks during the summer. The pay range is from $19.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on your education level.

What You’ll Do
- Participate in project team meetings and field site visits
- Assist Project Managers with administering, tracking, and monitoring transportation projects in various stages
- Help coordinate project deliverables and maintain project documentation
- Perform research, analysis, and project filing as needed
- Complete professional entry-level duties related to project development
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills while managing multiple assignments under deadlines
- Proofread work for accuracy and quality
- Act professionally, show initiative, and demonstrate a strong desire to learn
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled full-time college student (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior) at an accredited two- or four-year college or university
- Students that graduated with their bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in the fall of 2025 or plan to graduate in the spring of 2026 are eligible
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a field applicable to the hiring department
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Interest in transportation, public service, or business operations
- Ability to perform entry-level professional work and learn increasingly complex skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
