Intern Title: Data Engineer Intern

Position Summary

Credit One Bank is seeking an IT Data Technologies & Innovation Intern to gain hands-on experience by assisting in the development and design of robust data pipelines using industry-standard tools like Airflow, PySpark, and Snowflake. Contribute to a forward-thinking team by exploring and researching emerging GenAI algorithms to identify innovative ways of transforming and utilizing data. Participate in the full data analysis lifecycle, using platforms such as Spark and Jupyter Notebooks to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.

Position Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Junior (entering junior year) or Senior (must have one - two semesters/quarters remaining post-internship).
  • Majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. 
  • Familiarity in Java, Python, SQL, Cloud Computing, Software Architecture Patterns.
  • Present in Las Vegas, NV, for the Summer Internship Program: June 8, 2026 – August 14, 2026 (10-weeks at 40 hours a week).

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

  • Design, build, and test data pipelines to ensure the reliable flow of data for analysis and business use.
  • Explore and document potential applications of Generative AI algorithms for use in data engineering processes.
  • Execute data analysis tasks, using appropriate tools, to generate insights from complex datasets.

Program Dates:

June 8, 2026 - August 14, 2026

Program Goals and Objectives:

  • Contribute to the development and design of robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data, ensuring data integrity and availability for business applications.
  • Research and explore the application of Generative AI algorithms to enhance data analysis, processing, or quality control.
  • Leverage analytical tools and programming languages to explore, analyze, and interpret large datasets, providing insights to support data-driven decisions.
