Revit Design Intern

FreeAxez is seeking an energetic, organized and results-focused intern to join our team in the Delran office. This is a paid internship, and can provide academic credit, if applicable. The internship offers valuable, real-world experience with an opportunity to work on architectural projects for Fortune 50 organizations, all branches of the military and as well as schools and universities. This is a paid internship - $16-$20 / hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret architectural, electrical and telecommunication plans, blueprints, sketches, and/or other drawings in preparation to prepare preliminary layouts and detailed installation plans ensuring they meet company and industry standards.
  • Drafting in Revit according to company procedures
  • Modify existing drawings per engineering markups.
  • Maintain, create, and follow checklists to ensure consistency and quality of work. Provide progress reports on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

  • Experience using Revit
  • Ability to create and modify Revit families
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings
  • Working knowledge of drafting standards
  • Willingness to learn new skills and processes
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced work environment
  • Construction-related major a plus
  • Other CAD software experience a plus
  • Electrical engineering background/knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge of architectural/MEP construction document practices and principles, including detailing, a plus
