Position Overview:
Alexander Baptist Church is seeking a spiritually mature and musically gifted individual to serve as a Part-Time Worship Leader. This role will help lead weekly worship services and support the growth of a Christ-centered worship culture within our congregation. The Worship Leader will collaborate with church staff, volunteers, and worship team members to create meaningful worship experiences.

Responsibilities:

Plan and lead Sunday worship services

Collaborate with pastoral staff and choir director on music selection and service planning

Lead worship team rehearsals and encourage team members spiritually and musically

Prepare set lists, music materials, and service slides in advance

Recruit, schedule, and develop worship and A/V volunteers

Coordinate with A/V team to ensure smooth and effective worship services

Support and participate in choir rehearsals

Maintain personal spiritual growth and demonstrate Christ-like leadership

Qualifications:

Personal commitment to Christian faith and servant leadership

Musical ability and experience leading worship (vocals and/or instrument)

Ability to lead and work well with volunteers and teams

Strong organizational and communication skills

Experience with worship presentation software or A/V technology is a plus

Schedule:

Weekly rehearsals and Sunday services

Additional planning and preparation time as needed
