Support the International Center (IC) by developing high-quality digital and print content, including social media posts, webpages, flyers, videos, and marketing copy. The ideal candidate is a creative student with experience in graphic design and/or video/photo editing who also excels at content writing, from captions to email copy and promotional materials. The candidate should have a strong work ethic, be organized, motivated, and a quick learner. On-the-job training will be provided.
You will gain hands-on experience in marketing best practices, project management, stakeholder communication, and building a portfolio of high-quality design work and marketing collateral.
Primary Responsibilities
- Update, create, and produce various digital and print media projects for the IC, including social media posts, webpages, videos, emails, flyers, and posters. Examples: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7423164658225831936

- Write compelling and engaging content, including:
- Captions for social media posts
- Copy for email campaigns
- Written content for flyers, posters, guides, and web pages
- Design flyers and graphics that are visually engaging and follow university brand standards.
- Work primarily on digital media projects with occasional print assignments
- Update International Center websites using the WordPress content management system
- Create and schedule social media posts; identify relevant content; respond to messages
- Edit and update existing video projects; record new footage; create new videos using Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable editing tools
- Monitor, prioritize, and manage incoming project requests
- Capture event photos and videos as needed
- Assist with special projects as assigned
Qualifications & Commitments
- 20–40 hours/week during the summer; up to 20 hours/week during spring/fall
- Compensation: $12.50 per hour
- Open to current UT Dallas students
- Ongoing position with a minimum two-semester commitment
Job Skills
- Develop original designs for social media posts, digital ads, brochures, flyers, and guides
- Strong grasp of content creation, including short-form and long-form writing, proofreading, and adapting tone based on audience
- Practical understanding of color theory and typography
- Photo editing and selecting appropriate stock images
- Preferred experience with DSLR cameras and capturing high-quality photos
- Video editing and motion graphics
- Ability to think creatively, translate ideas into visual and written content, and deliver final products promptly
Software / Technical Expertise
- Proficient in Canva
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, Audition, or comparable tools)
- Preferred experience with WordPress
- Preferred experience with CometAI or Copilot
