Data Analytics Intern

Position Summary:

As a Data Analytics Intern at NSTEM, you will be a key player in addressing critical business questions through data collection, analysis, and visualization. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in tools such as Google Analytics, Google Sheets, SQL, and Tableau. You will gather, synthesize, and interpret data trends, presenting comprehensive reports and actionable recommendations to directors and stakeholders. This role will foster your critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning skills, contributing to strategic organizational development and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Gather data from various sources and perform thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting: Utilize Tableau to present data in a visually appealing and easily understandable manner. Prepare comprehensive data reports and present findings to directors and stakeholders.
  • Business Question Solving: Address critical business questions by formulating relevant queries and providing actionable recommendations based on data insights.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and contribute data-driven solutions to organizational challenges.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular quality checks and data validation.
  • Continual Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an educational institution with a focus on data analytics, data science, business analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, R, or Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau
  • Knowledge of data collection, cleaning, and manipulation techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • A curiosity-driven mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new data analytics methodologies and tools.
