In-Home Child Development Early Interventionist Teacher

The Early Interventionist Teacher provides in-home, direct intervention services. You will plan and implement individualized strategies for children with developmental delays, coach parents/caregivers on embedding supports into daily routines, document progress, travel locally to clients’ homes, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver cohesive, effective services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct in-home intervention services aligned with each child’s goals and family routines.

• Develop and implement individualized, routine-based intervention plans.

• Coach parents/caregivers to embed developmental strategies throughout daily activities (mealtime, play, routines).

• Document visits, progress notes, service logs, and observations according to program standards.

• Maintain health & safety in home and intervention environment; follow regulatory and agency policies.

• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development.

• Travel to client homes within service area; track mileage/travel as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 early childhood / child development units from an accredited college or university.

• At least 1 year of experience working with children with developmental delays (early childhood or home-based setting).

• Current CPR certification.

• Valid driver’s license, proof of automobile liability insurance, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within service area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in child development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education or a related field.

• Experience providing home-based early intervention services.

• Experience with documentation, progress monitoring, and individualized plans.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

Compensation

• Hourly range: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.

• Paid mileage reimbursement.
