Our Creative Services & Innovation teams work at the intersection of design, technology, and emerging media, developing visual content and experimenting with next‑generation creative tools.

Learning Experience

The Creative Design & Emerging Media Internship at Zoo Media provides hands‑on experience in both traditional and AI‑powered design workflows. Interns will explore how visual storytelling, digital identity, and emerging technologies come together to support youth‑centered media, brand development, and innovative content creation.

You’ll work closely with experienced designers and creative strategists, gaining insight into how design evolves in a rapidly changing digital landscape.

Responsibilities

Graphic Design – Traditional & AI‑Enhanced

  • Create visual assets using traditional design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Explore and experiment with AI‑based design tools to enhance creativity, speed, and ideation.
  • Support the development of visual content for Zoo Media programs, campaigns, and digital experiences.

Emerging Media & Digital Collectibles

  • Assist in conceptualizing and designing digital collectibles, interactive assets, or NFT‑style creative pieces aligned with Zoo Media’s mission.
  • Learn foundational concepts related to blockchain‑based media, digital ownership, and emerging creative formats.

Multimedia Content Creation

  • Contribute to social media graphics, marketing materials, digital storytelling pieces, and cross‑platform visual content.
  • Collaborate with creative, communications, and program teams to ensure cohesive and impactful visual communication.

Brand Identity & Consistency

  • Uphold Zoo Media’s brand guidelines across all design projects.
  • Contribute ideas that support the evolution of Zoo Media’s visual identity and youth‑centered aesthetic.

Continuous Learning & Exploration

  • Stay current on design trends, AI tools, and emerging media technologies.
  • Participate in team discussions, creative critiques, and skill‑building sessions.

Requirements

  • Availability for team meetings:
    Mondays at 9:00 AM MST, Wednesdays at 10:00 AM MST, Fridays at 8:00 AM MST 
    SkillBridge participants also meet Thursdays at 9:00 AM MST
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, Creative Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with traditional design tools (Adobe Creative Suite or similar).
  • Interest in exploring AI‑based design tools and emerging creative technologies.
  • Strong creative thinking and conceptual design abilities.
  • Curiosity about blockchain, digital collectibles, or interactive media.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a creative team environment.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and aligned with Zoo Media’s mission of empowering youth and creators.
