Position: 7–12 Social Studies Teacher

Start Date: 2026–2027 School Year
Contract: Full-Time
Faith School is seeking a qualified and motivated 7–12 Social Studies Teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will provide engaging instruction in middle and high school social studies courses, helping students develop critical thinking skills, historical understanding, and civic responsibility in a supportive, small-school environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, History, Government, or related field
- Valid South Dakota teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
Responsibilities:
- Teach social studies courses to students in grades 7–12
- Develop and implement standards-based lesson plans
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and administration
- Participate in professional development and school improvement efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned
