Summary:
This job is intended for participants in approved internship programs only. The college internship program will provide interns with practical experience and exposure to a variety of healthcare areas while assisting students with their professional and career goals. Interns will participate in functional department rotations, work closely with a mentor, and attend professional development trainings.
This is a full-time, 9-week position working Monday through Friday from 8/8:30am - 4:30/5:00pm.

- New Pediatric Campus Planning: Focused on the strategic planning and design of a state-of-the-art pediatric campus, ensuring alignment with the healthcare system’s mission to provide innovative, patient-centered care.
- Enterprise Transformation Office (ETO): Provides project management standards, governance, and execution support to ensure delivery of strategic organizational initiatives.
- Community Relations: Strengthens the hospital’s connection to the community through partnerships, advocacy, outreach events, and programs that support child and family well-being across the region.
- Marketing & Communications: Elevates brand awareness and delivers strategic communication initiatives, offering interns hands-on experience in campaign planning, media relations, and project management.
- Tax Services: Manages tax reporting, compliance, and documentation for the organization, supporting audits, filings, and analysis to ensure regulatory accuracy.
- Patient Safety: Promotes a culture of safety through risk identification, incident analysis, safety event coordination, and the development of systemwide safety improvement initiatives.
- Network Development Education: Supports ongoing staff development through training coordination, continuing education programs, documentation management, and learning platform maintenance.
- Workforce Development: Builds innovative career pathway programs, supports student and early career experiences, and strengthens the healthcare workforce pipeline through structured development initiatives.
- Magnet & Nursing Recognition: Sets excellence standards in nursing through leadership, education, and recognition programs such as DAISY and community awards.
- Nursing Excellence, Research & Innovation: Promotes clinical inquiry by empowering nurses to explore evidence-based solutions, conduct research studies, and implement innovations that improve patient outcomes.
- Clinical Development Pathways: Focuses on specialty certification preparation, skills development, and enhancing internal clinical mobility for team members pursuing professional advancement.
- Clinical Academic Affiliations & Community Partnerships: Manage clinical student placements, academic relationships, and community partnerships to support experiential learning and pipeline development for future healthcare professionals.
- Clinical Workforce Development: Builds talent pipelines and supports clinical team members in skill growth through academic and professional programs.
- Transition to Practice and Clinical Onboarding: Facilitates onboarding and assimilation for new clinical team members by coordinating training, orientation, and transition programs that support clinical competence and confidence.
- Volunteer Services: Manages volunteer programs, onboarding, training, and community contributions such as handmade donations.
- Family Support Services: Supports patients and families by normalizing the hospital environment through play, procedure explanations, and coping strategies.
- Acute Care Therapy Services: Provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to hospitalized patients, supporting recovery, mobility, functional skills, and developmental needs.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for partnering with assigned leaders to complete the entirety or milestone of a project, present findings to executive team and other corporate leaders.
Responsible for learning the activities and processes of the assigned department / unit of the organization by shadowing various positions of the department or performing the work assigned; assist various staff of the assigned department with routine duties.
Perform research activities that contribute to benchmarking activities of the department; assist managers or other staff with special projects, including attending meetings and other functions; and perform other duties as required.
Work Experience:

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent Req
- Currently enrolled in a college program in Business, Health Care Administration, or closely related field or a graduate from a college program. Req
