Social Media Intern (remote)
David Arkin Consulting is seeking a social media intern to support our growing company’s work helping media organizations across the country better engage their audiences.
We currently partner with more than three dozen newspapers, TV stations, magazines and digital publishers. Interns will help create and package content for our clients in areas such as things to do, family, lifestyle, food and branded content.
For candidates interested in video and social media, there will also be opportunities to assist with short-form video, social posts, newsletters and audience engagement projects.
This is a paid, fully remote internship with flexible hours. We ask interns to commit approximately 10–15 hours per week.
Responsibilities may include:
• Writing and scheduling social media posts
• Assisting with Instagram, Facebook and newsletter content
• Supporting short-form video and digital storytelling projects
• Researching story ideas and trending topics
• Helping package articles for web and social distribution
• Assisting with basic analytics and performance tracking
Ideal candidates will have interest or experience in:
• Journalism, communications or marketing
• Social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or LinkedIn)
• Writing and storytelling
• Video or digital content creation (not required, but a plus)
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in a future career in content marketing, media, communications, digital strategy or public relations.
Interns will work directly with founder David Arkin, who has more than 25 years of experience leading innovative news and content teams, as well as collaborate with our network of editors and content creators. Work produced during the internship will appear on client websites, newsletters and social media channels, and may also contribute to the consulting firm’s own digital platforms.
