Pickleball Instructor

Instructor, Pickleball - After-School (Elementary)

We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic Head Instructors and Assistant Instructors to join our after-school pickleball program for students in grades 2-6!

About the Program:

Let's Play Pickleball is an after-school & summer camp pickleball program. In a fun and inclusive environment, students learn basic skills, game rules, and strategies while developing teamwork and sportsmanship. Come share your love of pickleball and make a positive impact on young people!

Openings are for the following locations in the Spring 2026 season (March 30 - June 12, 2026). See a map with the school locations.*

  • Hazel Wolf K-8 - Mon, 3:30-5pm
  • Cascadia Elementary School - Tue, 2:30-4pm
  • McDonald International School - Tue / Thu, 2:30-4pm
  • B.F. Day Elementary School - Tue, 2:30-4pm
  • St. Luke School - Tue, 2:00-3:30pm
  • Lawton Elementary School - Tue, 2:30-4pm
  • John Stanford International School - Wednesdays, 1:30-3pm
  • Louisa Boren STEM K-8 - Wednesdays, 2:15-3:45pm
  • Green Lake Elementary School - Thu, 3:30-5pm
  • Meridian Park Elementary School - Thu, 3:35pm-4:50pm
  • Queen Anne Elementary - Thu, 2:30-4pm
  • Syre Elementary School - Fri, 2:30-4pm
  • West Woodland Elementary - Fri, 3:30-5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for and deliver engaging pickleball lessons.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to students.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all participants.
  • Keep attendance records and other administrative class tasks (Head instructor)
  • Transport class equipment, e.g., nets, paddles (Head instructor)
  • Help improve the pickleball curriculum

Qualifications:

  • Some experience playing pickleball (intermediate knowledge and skills are sufficient).
  • Passion for working with children.
  • Ability to create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Patience and enthusiasm for teaching children new skills.
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children is a plus.

Important Notes:

  • This position requires a background check.
  • FirstAid / CPR certification is required for Head Coaches.
  • Certain school locations require a car to transport class supplies to and from the school.
