Accounts Payable Specialist

Job description:

Bradley Construction is a general contractor looking for the right candidate to handle the accounts payable function, as well as other administrative duties, for several companies located in our Clearwater, FL office. This is a full-time, salaried position and comes with a complete benefits package. The starting salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing subcontractor draw requests and supplier invoices in accordance with contract documents and purchase orders.
  • Collection of valid lien waivers in exchange for payments made.
  • Accurate cost coding for all payments.
  • Interact with and provide assistance to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Reconciliation of accounts.
  • Maintaining computer database and various logs.
  • Coordination with various locations to ensure that payments are processed accurately and timely.
  • Allocating costs between various companies/projects.
  • Maintaining and filing of payments, correspondence, etc.
  • Other administrative and accounting related functions as needed.

Requirements and skills:

  • Minimum 3 yrs Accounts Payable and/or Accounting experience.
  • Construction experience is highly preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • 2 yr accounting degree or higher is preferred.
  • Strong time management, detail and organizational skills are a must.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Capable of verifying and investigating discrepancies.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to completion.
  • Customer service oriented with a team player attitude.
