Springfield Catholic Schools System is accepting applications for a Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Springfield Catholic High school.

Description:
We are looking for a faith-filled, self-motivated, and engaging teacher to join our qualified team of educators.
Our teachers are responsible for cultivating our students' spiritual formation, academic development, and interest in life-long learning. Through the preparation of creative, rigorous, and captivating lessons, teachers aim to educate students at all levels. Teachers must be able to instruct in a variety of subjects. Springfield Catholic Schools is looking for Christ-centered, competent professionals with in-depth knowledge of their class subject, who use best teaching practices. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep personal faith and interpersonal abilities.
Duties include:

  • Supports and implements the philosophy of a Catholic education.
  • Participates in building a faith community
  • Demonstrates evidence of prior planning and preparation.
  • Uses effective teaching techniques and strategies during lessons.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of curriculum and subject matter.
  • Uses instructional time efficiently, and effectively.
  • Evaluates student progress
  • Provides for individual differences.
  • Collaborates with content area teachers on cross-curricular assignments.
  • Promotes an environment in which all students feel free to participate.
  • Provides a safe and orderly classroom environment

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • VIRTUS certification (provided by Springfield Catholic Schools)
  • Current Missouri Certified Teacher
  • Practicing Catholic
