We are looking for a faith-filled, self-motivated, and engaging teacher to join our qualified team of educators.
Our teachers are responsible for cultivating our students' spiritual formation, academic development, and interest in life-long learning. Through the preparation of creative, rigorous, and captivating lessons, teachers aim to educate students at all levels. Teachers must be able to instruct in a variety of subjects. Springfield Catholic Schools is looking for Christ-centered, competent professionals with in-depth knowledge of their class subject, who use best teaching practices. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep personal faith and interpersonal abilities.
Duties include:
- Supports and implements the philosophy of a Catholic education.
- Participates in building a faith community
- Demonstrates evidence of prior planning and preparation.
- Uses effective teaching techniques and strategies during lessons.
- Demonstrates knowledge of curriculum and subject matter.
- Uses instructional time efficiently, and effectively.
- Evaluates student progress
- Provides for individual differences.
- Collaborates with content area teachers on cross-curricular assignments.
- Promotes an environment in which all students feel free to participate.
- Provides a safe and orderly classroom environment
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree
- VIRTUS certification (provided by Springfield Catholic Schools)
- Current Missouri Certified Teacher
- Practicing Catholic
