Transportation Project Engineer

Our team is looking for a Transportation Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of engineering tasks, working collaboratively with colleagues to design roadway infrastructure projects. Design projects include traffic, geometrics, transportation, hydraulic modeling, and stormwater.

A potential candidate will be expected to work independently or within multi-discipline teams performing studies and plan development for the planning and design of intersections and/or interchanges, roadway/interstate segment improvements and/or local route construction projects. Ideally this candidate can immediately begin to demonstrate proficiency in roadway geometrics, alternatives analysis, alignment studies, written reports, traffic analysis and preparation of plans, specifications and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze traffic patterns, geometric layouts, and roadway alignments.
• Assist with the preparation of contract plans, technical memoranda, reports, specifications, bid documents, and feasibility studies while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Perform and coordinate planning, permitting, hydraulic modeling, stormwater management, and cost estimation for transportation projects.
• Manage projects involving various infrastructure funding sources.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
• Experience in AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license.
