Donor Relations and Events Student Employee | Spring 2026 Work Study
Job description
Performs varied clerical and support tasks for the staff of the Office of Donor Relations and Events. This is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to gain experience for a career in the following areas: fundraising and development, event management, marketing and communication, public relations, office administration, executive support.
- Word processing, spreadsheet work in Excel, data entry, and updating records in the department database
- Collecting event RSVPs
- Copying, scanning, filing, and shredding
- Printing, folding, stuffing letters, and addressing envelopes
- Name verification, Printing, and assembling nametags for events
- Proofreading documents
- Collecting and delivering materials to on campus offices
- Staffing divisional events in-person
- Photographing rooms and buildings around campus
- Possibility for creative projects in graphic design for a candidate with the necessary skill set.
- Positive attitude and willingness to challenge yourself and work in a team environment
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
A confidentiality agreement will be mandatory to sign with the department. Training and documentation will be provided.
Employee evaluation will take place annually.

Qualifications
Familiar with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software or ability to learn quickly. Individual must be able to work in a fast-paced and high-performing environment with overlapping project deadlines, perform accurate data entry in a timely manner, handle confidential information, be customer service oriented, work independently and in a team environment, perform general office duties. Individual should know that work produced by this team can be seen and used by top University leadership. Individual must be open to cross-training for other areas. This position requires light lifting and some walking to deliver documents and take photos of other buildings on campus. Individual must have ability to work in the JCK Administration Building on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Note about attire: this position occasionally requires business-casual dress for special events.
