Engineering Intern

Oxbow Calcining LLC, Port Arthur Plant is currently looking to hire an intern to join our team.

Program Description

Our goal is to develop new talent and test candidates for a right ‘fit’ for future full-time employment. We do this by offering relevant work experience on challenging projects and assignments as well as an assigned mentor from the plant management team. As an intern, you’ll have the chance to gain exposure to a manufacturing environment, prepare for a full-time career and confirm or modify your career aspirations. 

Role and Responsibilities

The intern will report directly to a department manager and will gain knowledge about plant safety, environmental, operations, maintenance, quality, and automation. 

Oxbow seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. To be considered applicants must meet the following criteria as well as be safety oriented and willing to work in a team atmosphere:

§ Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

§ Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required.

§ Superior communication skills with a demonstrated ability to write effectively.
