THE CITY OF LEAWOOD, KANSAS is looking for 


Assistant Swim Coach

 

Are you ideal for working as a Assistant Swim Coach at the Leawood Aquatic?

  • Are you 18 years of age OR older?
  • Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills?
  • Are you reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment?
  • Are you ready to make some extra money for the summer?
  • Do you have swim team experience?
  • Do you have swim coaching experience, or would you like to gain coaching experience?

As the Assistant Swim Coach, you will work:

  • Approximately 30 – 35 hours per week between 7 am and 12 pm and some Thursday evenings. 
  • Weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The Pool Season runs from May to September.

A few of the things you will be doing include:

  • Assisting the Head Swim Coach in implementing structured swim practices during scheduled times.
  • Supporting the head swim coach in designing, organizing, and conducting structured swim practices and meets during scheduled times.
  • Participating in mandatory meetings and training sessions.
  • Making decisions regarding inclement weather and informing participants and parents about delays or cancellations.
  • Representing the City and the swim team at meetings and special events.
