Role Overview

As a Full Stack Developer Intern, you’ll work directly with our tech and media teams to design, develop, and deploy new features across our digital ecosystem. You’ll gain hands-on experience in:

Building scalable web applications for sports, esports, and NIL programs

Working with APIs, cloud platforms, and databases

Contributing to frontend UX/UI design and backend architecture

Supporting live projects for Zoo Media websites and AI-integrated software

 

Preferred Skills

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Python

Experience with databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Firebase, etc.)

Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GitHub, and cloud hosting (AWS, Google Cloud)

Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills

What You’ll Do

  • AI-Driven Development:

Develop and test custom software solutions that integrate artificial intelligence, automation, and real-time data analysis.
Experiment with machine learning models, natural language processing (NLP), and recommendation engines for internal and client-facing tools.

  • Full Stack Application Building:

Work on front-end and back-end development of websites, mobile apps, and dashboards.
Support UI/UX optimization and ensure cross-platform functionality and responsiveness.

  • Custom Tool Creation:

Build internal tools for media content automation, marketing integration, and business workflows.
Assist in the creation of proprietary applications used by the company and its subsidiaries across industries like sports, entertainment, publishing, and travel.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration:

Partner with creative, analytics, and strategy teams to deliver full-cycle software solutions.
Participate in code reviews, daily scrums, and planning meetings using Agile methodology.

  • Innovation and Research:

Contribute to product R&D and testing of emerging technologies.
Analyze competing platforms and build case studies to support product enhancements and new development paths.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Familiar with JavaScript, Python, React, Node.js, or similar languages/frameworks.
  • Some exposure to or interest in AI technologies, machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, OpenAI, LangChain), and automation APIs.
  • Proficient in GitHub/GitLab workflows, Agile development principles, and API integration.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to experiment, test, and fail fast in pursuit of building smarter solutions.

Internship Details

Internship Duration: 120 to 365 days

Weekly Meetings Required:
- Mondays at 9:00 AM MST
- Wednesdays at 10:00 AM MST
- Fridays at 8:00 AM MST
 

Onboarding Windows

Winter: January 1–5
Spring: April 1–5
Summer: June 1–5
Fall: August 1–5
Late Fall/Winter: October 1–5

Open enrollment starting October 15th through December 15th
