STEM Instructor – Coding & Robotics
Schedule: After-school program | Pay: $33–$37/hour
About the Role
Do you enjoy working with children and bringing technology to life? We’re seeking a passionate Coding and Robotics Instructor to inspire students to explore STEM in a hands-on, fun, and interactive way. You’ll lead projects where students learn to code, build simple robots, and develop problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity skills, while boosting their confidence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly coding and robotics sessions using provided lessons and age-appropriate materials.
- Support students step by step as they build, program, and test projects.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Encourage curiosity, collaboration, and persistence in problem-solving.
- Communicate with program staff about classroom needs, scheduling, and student progress.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in school, camp, or enrichment programs.
- Knowledge of basic coding concepts and/or educational robotics platforms (e.g., LEGO Robotics, Scratch, or similar).
- Strong communication skills, organized, and approachable.
- Dependable, punctual, and flexible with minor schedule adjustments.
- Enthusiastic about making STEM learning engaging and meaningful for young students.
