Entry-Level Police Officer

ENTRY-LEVEL POLICE OFFICER

Patrols an assigned area in the enforcement of law and order. Performs traffic duties, investigations, and crime prevention and detection assignments.

Required Documents and Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Current, valid driver’s license
  • Must pass a written exam, physical fitness tests and oral board
  • Must pass a medical exam. Requirements for Vision and hearing 
  • Must successfully pass a background check and a polygraph exam
  • Must never have been convicted of a felony
  • Candidates will be required to obtain police officer certification within the time frame established by the NHPST
