Nurse Practitioner for Neurofeedback

NURSE PRACTIONER - We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to serve as a Neurofeedback technician to support behavioral health and developmental services for a Geriatric population in assisted and independent living environment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care, implementing behavior management strategies, and supporting individuals with diverse needs, including those with autism, disabilities, or mental health challenges. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives through clinical support, data collection, and adherence to medical and privacy standards. 


Responsibilities 

Assist with intake assessments and maintain detailed medical documentation 

Monitor vital signs and observe behavioral changes during patient interactions 

Administer prescribed protocols and ensure accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations 

Implement behavior management plans utilizing care plan strategies unique to individual needs 

Conduct data collection related to patient progress and behavioral observations for ongoing treatment planning 

Support medical staff by recording medical records, managing medical terminology documentation, and assisting with patient care activities 

Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and managing behavioral challenges effectively 

Collaborate with neurotherapy teams to coordinate care plans and facilitate communication between clients, families, and healthcare providers 



Experience 

Experience assessing cognitive changes, memory concerns, and early signs of neurodegenerative conditions, supporting accurate baseline evaluations before NFB. 

Skilled in managing complex medical histories and polypharmacy, allowing safe integration of neurofeedback with existing treatment plans. 

Strong background in monitoring vital signs, autonomic regulation, and subtle physiological shifts, which enhances session safety and interpretation of client responses. 

Deep familiarity with behavioral changes in aging adults, including anxiety, sleep disruption, and mood variability—common targets for neurofeedback. 

Experience providing patient education and coaching, essential for helping older adults understand the purpose of NFB and stay engaged with training. 

Ability to build rapport with individuals experiencing hearing, vision, mobility, or processing limitations, ensuring sessions remain accessible and comfortable. 

History of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (neurology, psychology, PT/OT), which aligns well with integrated neurofeedback care models. 

Competence in tracking functional outcomes—sleep, attention, balance, mood—which helps translate neurofeedback progress into meaningful daily improvements. 

This role is integral to delivering high-quality support services within a clinical environment. Candidates should demonstrate empathy, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to client well-being.
