Work Experience Programme 2026 - Assistant Relationship Manager Track

Our 10-Week Internship Programme offers you a structured and immersive introduction to the world of Private Banking. Throughout the programme, you will gain hands‑on exposure to front‑office activities, learn how relationship management teams support high‑net‑worth clients, and collaborate with multiple business functions across the bank. This experience is designed to equip you with practical skills, industry insights, and a solid foundation for a future career in wealth management.

 

As an intern, you may be exposed to the following:

  • Support day-to-day business operations which may include preparing internal reports, performance trackers, client-related summaries, and other materials used for team discussions and management updates.
  • Gain practical insight into the role of an Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) by working closely with key internal stakeholders such as Products, Operations, Compliance, and other functional teams to understand how client servicing and wealth solutions are delivered.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects and team initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, streamlining workflows, and improving business processes within the Private Banking environment.
  • Build a strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks by learning how regulatory requirements shape decision-making and daily operations in a highly regulated financial institution.
  • Participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaborations, allowing you to observe how relationship teams work together to support business growth.
  • Develop professional skills such as stakeholder communication, analytical thinking, and structured problem-solving through hands-on tasks and exposure to real banking scenarios.

  • Detail‑oriented and highly organised, with the ability to manage data, documentation, and multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal, paired with strong interpersonal abilities to work effectively with stakeholders across teams.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and curious, demonstrating a willingness to learn, take initiative, and thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to create reports, analyse data, and present information professionally.
  • Analytical mindset with structured problem‑solving skills, able to interpret information and contribute meaningful insights to team discussions.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, committed to supporting collaborative work and building strong working relationships.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, exercising discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive client information and internal data in a regulated financial environment.
