Youth Program Lead
This role is for someone who owns the room, loves public speaking, and genuinely wants to help students succeed.
You know how some people walk into space and the energy shifts? That's you. You can hold 50 high schoolers' attention for six hours straight — not by talking at them, but by making them feel like they're part of something. You're part motivational speaker, part workshop facilitator, and 100% someone who genuinely believes in and wants to support young people.
We're Skillify. We run career workshops and mentorship programs that help students figure out what they want to do with their lives. We've reached thousands of students across 220+ schools — and we're just getting started.
Our full-day Skillify conferences are the heartbeat of what we do. They're high-energy, high-impact days where students meet mentors, learn life skills, and walk out with more confidence than they came in with. You'll be the person who makes that happen.
What You'll Actually Do
Conference days (3x per week):
- Lead full-day conferences at schools across California and Nevada (typically 7AM - 3PM PT)
- Facilitate high-energy workshops on career exploration, mentorship, and life skills
- Emcee and manage the flow — intros, transitions, keeping energy high, handling the unexpected
- Connect with students 1:1 and in groups — you're approachable, memorable, someone they trust
- Coordinate with school staff and mentors to make sure the day runs seamlessly and everyone feels the impact
- Travel to school sites, sometimes 3+ hours each way, with some overnight travel 2-3x/month
On non-conference days, you’re in our Summerlin office to:
- Improve and iterate on workshop content and conference experience based on what's landing
- Prep materials, coordinate logistics, debrief with the team
- Support other Skillify initiatives as needed — we're a startup, roles flex

Requirements
- Work with us in-person in Las Vegas, at our Summerlin office, when not at school-sites
- Strong public speaking skills — you've done this before and you're good at it
- Available to lead full-day conferences 2-3 days per week
- Valid driver's license, reliable car, and willingness to drive 3+ hours to school sites
- Open to overnight travel 2-3x/month when conferences are far from Las Vegas
- Mastery of Google Drive or tools like Notion for staying organized
- Bonus: experience in teaching, youth programs, event facilitation, theater, coaching, or anything that put you in front of groups of young people
