JOB SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Chief HR & Compliance Officer, the HR Coordinator provides administrative support and facilitates the Human Resources and Compliance processes. The Human Resources Coordinator must be creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Human Resources Coordinator will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Human Resources Compliance

  • Completes the Form I-9 verification process
  • Submits new employee background checks
  • Collects drug testing results for both new hire and random checks
  • Maintains employee and Credentialing files

People Development

  • Schedules and helps to facilitate the New Hire Orientation program
  • Ensures on-boarding activities are completed over a 90-day period
  • Assists the HRBP with training activities
  • Maintains training records

Strategic Initiatives

  • Assists the CHRCO with projects pertaining to strategic initiatives
  • Assists with Community Relations and marketing campaigns

Talent Acquisition

  • Focuses on retention activities (i.e. culture,change management, etc.)
  • Schedules & assists with interviews
  • Maintains applicant tracking files
  • Creates and maintains job postings on external job boards
  • Works in tandem with colleges and federally funded programs regarding student preceptorships

Administration

  • Completes employment verifications
  • Assists with processing mail
  • Creates and scans all the paperwork for employee and credentialing files
  • Assists with the maintenance of the HRIS system

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills that reflexibility to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with staff, vendors,and other parties that interact with Human Resources
  • Excellent written, verbal and professional communication skills.
  • Emotional maturity.
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Forward looking thinker,who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field OR equivalent experience (6-8 years of experience)
