Short-Form Video Editor

We are hiring a platform-native short-form video editor to support the growth of a credibility-based personal brand in health and longevity on Instagram Reels and TikTok.

This role focuses on editing for retention, pacing, and clarity — not cinematic polish or brand marketing. Most content is talking-head, educational, and opinion-driven.

 

Responsibilities

Edit short-form videos (15–60 seconds) for Instagram Reels and TikTok

Cut talking-head footage for native platform pacing

Remove filler words, tighten pauses, and cut mid-sentence when appropriate

Improve clarity and flow without over-editing

Create clean captions/subtitles optimized for mobile viewing

Test different pacing styles and incorporate feedback

Deliver edits on a consistent schedule

 

Required Skills

Experience editing short-form vertical video

Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram Reels pacing

Ability to edit talking-head content naturally and clearly

Comfort cutting raw footage into engaging short clips

Attention to rhythm, timing, and viewer attention

Familiarity with tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar

 

Preferred (Not Required)

Experience editing educational or creator-led content

Interest in social media growth or creator economy

Familiarity with basic performance metrics (watch time, retention)

 

Minimum Requirements

Ability to provide examples of short-form video edits

Reliable turnaround time

Openness to feedback and iteration

Willingness to complete a paid test edit
