Academic Advisor - Transfer Programs Support

Summary of Job Duties:
The Sam M. Walton College of Business is seeking candidates for the position of Academic Advisor on the transfer team. This position is responsible for advising approximately 700-800 undergraduate business students, including new freshman, graduating seniors, non-traditional, study abroad, students with disabilities, etc. This position also focuses on students who are considered new transfer students or transfer freshmen. This position requires teaching 2-3 sections of Freshman Business Connections each fall semester, assisting with New Student Orientation in the summer, as well as prospective student visits as needed to support the recruitment team.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least one year of experience working in a student services position in a higher education environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least two years of experience working in a student services position in a higher education environment
At least one year of experience advising students in a higher education environment, preferably in a college of business.
