Deirdre’s House is the Child Advocacy Center for child victims who have experienced abuse, neglect, and forms of childhood maltreatment. The CAC is a child friendly place where children and their families come to meet with detectives, undergo a medical exam, and receive clinical counseling services. As an intern, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the child maltreatment case process in New Jersey, as well as insights into the operations of a non-profit organization.

 

Looking for Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) 

 

  • Located in the heart of Downtown Morristown 

 

  • Flexible Schedule that can work with your class schedule (within Center business hours)

 

  • Available to Undergraduate students of many different majors (social work, criminology, criminal justice, psychology, etc.)

 

  • You will have the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of professionals, such as detectives from the prosecutor’s office, mental health professionals, child protection agencies, healthcare providers, and more

 

  • Engage directly with clients and provide childcare support while caregivers attend meetings

 

  • Participate in and help with fundraising and community events
