Marketing Intern

Marketing Intern - AzOPT & Kids Place

Start Date: Week of March 30, 2026 Length of Internship: 12 weeks 

Type: Paid, 15-20 hours per week

AzOPT (Arizona Orthopedic Physical Therapy) and Kids Place is a leading provider of comprehensive physical therapy and pediatric therapy committed to delivering high-quality care to adults and children. AzOPT and Kids Place seeks a dynamic Marketing Intern to join our team and contribute to the growth and outreach initiatives.

Position Overview:

As a Marketing Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the marketing and communications efforts of AzOPT and Kids Place. This hands-on internship will provide exposure to various facets of marketing, including social media management, email marketing, graphic design, event planning, and more. The ideal candidate is creative, a self-starter, detail-oriented, and passionate about healthcare and wellness.

**This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-person and remote work. The in-person location will be determined based on the applicant’s location and the nearest clinic—options include our Buckeye, Gilbert, Goodyear, and Phoenix clinics.

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management:
    • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement a social media calendar.
    • Create and curate engaging content for AzOPT and Kids Place's social media platforms. This includes videos, photos and graphics. 
    • Assist in monitoring and responding to social media interactions, fostering positive engagement with the community.
  • Email Marketing:
    • Assist in the creation and execution of email marketing newsletters to promote services and events.
    • Manage email lists, segmenting audiences for targeted communication.
    • Analyze email campaign performance and provide insights for improvement.
  • Graphic Design:
    • Design visually appealing graphics for digital and print materials, ensuring brand consistency.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to create marketing collateral for events, promotions, and campaigns.
    • Stay updated on design trends and incorporate innovative ideas into marketing materials.
  • Event Planning:
    • Support the planning and execution of marketing events.
    • Coordinate logistics, create promotional materials, and assist in post-event analysis.
  • Content Creation:
    • Generate creative and informative content for blogs, newsletters, and other marketing channels.
    • Conduct research to stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and competitor activities.
  • Administration Support
    • Help assemble marketing folders for patients and prospects. 
    • Support front office operations when needed.
  • Special Projects
    • You will choose 1 special project to work on throughout your time. 
      For example:
      • Plan and execute a marketing event.
      • Create a testimonial video.
      • Create a training video.
      • Create a campaign to boost our referral program, reviews, etc.
      • Or, pitch your own to us! 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program, majoring in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or Canva) and social media platforms. Video editing is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, but also a self-starter.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
