Temple Christian School – Lima, Ohio

Temple Christian School is seeking a Christ-centered, relationship-driven MS/HS Principal to lead the academic, spiritual, cocurricular, and admissions work of our secondary school. This full-time role supports students, faculty, staff, and parents while advancing the mission of TCS.

About the Role

The Principal works closely with the Superintendent and provides leadership in academics, spiritual formation, student life, operations, and admissions. We are seeking a devoted Christian educator who models Christlike character, builds strong relationships, and promotes excellence in teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual leadership; model a mature walk with Christ and support TCS’s Statements of Faith and Christian Lifestyle expectations.
  
   
• Lead curriculum, instruction, assessment, and academic programs and make recommendations to the Superintendent
  
   
• Supervise, evaluate, and support faculty and staff.
  
   
• Maintain a safe, positive, and Christ-honoring school culture; oversee restorative discipline.
  
   
• Review applications, conduct admissions interviews, and make recommendations to the Superintendent
• Provide leadership in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of high school faculty and staff who support the school’s mission, and make hiring recommendations to the Superintendent for final approval
  
   
• Coordinate building operations, communication, scheduling, and compliance.
  
   
• Partner with parents and represent TCS in the community.
  
   

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Teaching experience required. Master’s Degree in Educational Administration Preferred.
  
   
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience with an additional two years of administrative experience preferred.
  
   
• Valid or obtainable ODEW licensure.
  
   
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  
   
• Demonstrates professionalism, emotional intelligence, and integrity.
