Terry‑Todd Consulting is a higher‑education Title IX and civil rights consulting firm providing trauma‑informed, neutral, and practical compliance support to colleges and universities nationwide. We support institutions with investigations, interim services, policy work, training, and strategic advising.

We are seeking a short‑term Marketing & Communications Intern to assist with targeted outreach to higher‑education partners this spring. This role is ideal for a current undergraduate senior with strong writing skills, an interest in Title IX, civil rights, higher‑education administration, or pre‑law, and a talent for marketing, messaging, and communications.

Position Summary

The Marketing & Communications Intern will support the firm’s spring outreach campaign by assisting with email marketing, drafting communications for prospective clients, creating brief content pieces, organizing contact lists, and supporting light social media activity. Work is remote, flexible, and project‑based.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft clear, professional outreach emails to potential institutional clients
  • Assist in creating concise marketing content (brief write‑ups, copy for communications, messaging blurbs)
  • Build and maintain outreach lists and tracking spreadsheets
  • Draft occasional social media posts or simple graphics (primarily LinkedIn)
  • Conduct light research on institutions and Title IX/civil rights trends
  • Assist in preparing materials for email introductions or virtual meetings
  • Support general communications or project tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate senior (any major)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfort drafting emails and short marketing content
  • Ability to handle sensitive subject matter with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage small tasks without micromanagement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in Title IX, equity/compliance, civil rights, higher‑ed administration, or pre‑law
  • Experience in marketing, communications, or social media content
  • Familiarity with Canva, LinkedIn posting, or basic design tools
  • Prior professional writing experience (academic, organizational, or campus roles all count)

Compensation & Time Commitment

  • $15/hour
  • Approximately 6-8 weeks of work, with the possibility of extension based on needs and performance
  • Estimated 3–5 hours per week
  • Fully remote work environment
  • Flexible schedule with weekly check‑ins
