Job Description
The Banquet Event Supervisor serves as the on-floor leader during events, coaching and supporting banquet staff while maintaining a visible, professional presence throughout service. Acting as the key liaison between managers, vendors, and the culinary team, this role ensures clear communication, consistent standards, and seamless execution of event details. The Supervisor leads by example, reinforces training and expectations, and helps create an organized, positive environment that delivers an exceptional experience for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact on event days, ensuring smooth communication and exceptional service.
- Provide leadership and direction to the event team, maintaining a strong presence from start to finish.
- Oversee all logistical aspects on event days, including vendor communication, floor plans, timelines, room setups, and breakdowns.
- Work closely with the culinary and management teams to align service standards, staffing levels, and setup requirements.
- Successfully multitask and problem solve, ensuring all events remain on schedule and meet or exceed club and member expectations.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to review menus, timelines, job assignments, and reset instructions.
- Prepare prep sheets for upcoming events and lead the banquet team through completion of prep.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Prior hospitality or event experience.
- Supervisory experience preferred but not required. This position is well-suited as a bridge to a hospitality management position.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-focused mindset.
- Professional demeanor with commitment to excellence and member satisfaction.
- Demonstrated reliability, teamwork, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain high standards of organization, attention to detail, and accountability.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied service schedules.
Compensation:
- Full-time, year-round.
- Hourly pay staring at $28/hour.
