Job Description

 

Corporate Research seeks a Controls System Engineer to help develop the next generation of Bose noise cancelling products that delivers new and amazing experiences to our customers. In this role, you will work with a multi-disciplinary research team on advanced control concepts and new acoustic architectures for application to future noise and vibration control products. 

 

Initial work includes making acoustic measurements on human subjects, designing control systems using existing design tools, researching new control strategies, implementing control systems on prototypes and evaluating system performance. Potential growth paths include developing expertise with advanced instrumentation and digital signal processing tools, and learning analytical system modeling techniques. 

 

Qualifications: 

Master’s degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering 

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with high performance portable audio products (strongly preferred) 

Practical experience with data acquisition and acoustic measurements 

Solid understanding of closed-loop control systems and digital signal processing (DSP) 

Experience with adaptive control theory and instrumentation preferred 

Knowledge or experience with acoustics and acoustic modeling
