Woodworking Instructor

Point O’Pines Camp for Girls is a traditional 7-week all-girls sleepaway camp in the Adirondacks, NY, and is seeking a Woodworking Instructor for Summer 2026.

This is a great opportunity for creative educators, makers, and collegiate students to gain hands-on teaching experience while making a meaningful impact on young people. At Point O’Pines, our Woodworking program is designed to be fun, safe, and skill-building for campers ages 6–15, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and confidence.

Responsibilities:

Lead engaging woodworking projects and skill-based lessons for campers of all experience levels

Teach fundamental woodworking skills, tool safety, and proper shop practices

Guide campers through individual and group projects from concept to completion

Adapt instruction based on campers’ abilities and creativity

Foster confidence, independence, and pride in craftsmanship

Live with a group of campers and co-counselors and help support campers’ day-to-day needs
