Entry-Level Account Executive

Cox First Media is excited to welcome recent college graduates who are eager to launch their careers in sales, marketing, and media as an Entry-Level Account Executive. The right person for this role will be responsible for nurturing existing clients and developing new client relationships.

About the Role:  

This is a great opportunity for a motivated, early-career professional who enjoys building relationships, is interested in digital marketing solutions, and helping businesses grow. This role will work with small to mid-sized businesses in the Dayton area, learning how to create effective advertising solutions across print and digital platforms.

You’ll receive training, coaching, and ongoing support as you develop your sales and client management skills. This role reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

This role works primarily remotely, with periodic time in the Dayton, OH office and local travel to meet clients (approximately 25%).

Responsibilities:

· Learn how to identify and connect with local businesses that can benefit from advertising solutions

· Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients

· Research client needs and help create customized marketing and advertising proposals

· Present advertising solutions through calls, virtual meetings, and in-person visits

· Collaborate with internal teams to launch and manage advertising campaigns

· Attend networking events, meetings, and training sessions to grow your skills and professional network

· Achieve monthly sales and digital performance goals with guidance from your manager

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for someone who is curious, coachable, and ready to learn. Prior sales experience is not required—we value strong communication skills, motivation, and a willingness to grow.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree (or graduating soon in marketing, communications, business, journalism, or a related field

· Interest in digital media, advertising, or business development

· Strong communication and presentation skills

· Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and customer-focused approach

· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally

Preferred Qualifications:

· Internship, coursework, or campus leadership experience related to sales, marketing, or communications

· Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
