Garden Center Associate

Position Duration: Full-Time, Seasonal (Feb - Dec).

Responsibilities:

· Assist customers with plant selection, gardening advice, and product recommendations.

· Maintain a clean and organized retail space, including restocking shelves and organizing displays.

· Water, prune, and care for plants to ensure they are healthy and presentable.

· Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately.

· Unload, organize, and price incoming shipments of plants and garden supplies.

· Assist in creating visually appealing plant arrangements and displays.

· Provide support during special events, workshops, and promotional activities.

· Answer customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.

· Learn about various plant species, their care requirements, and seasonal gardening tips.

· Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

· Enthusiasm for plants, gardening, and outdoor activities.

· Strong customer service and communication skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

· Basic knowledge of plants and gardening practices is a plus.

· Availability to work one weekend day is a must.

· Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and bending.

· Previous retail or customer service experience is a bonus.

· Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
